I RECENTLY RESTORED WHAT I THINK IS A OLD LATE/MID 1940~S
SCHWINN TYPE, STILL MISSING HEADBADGE,CHAIN GUARD, NEED TO
IDENTIFY, SO HERE IS A LIST WHAT IT HAS;
26" MENS VERSION
FRONT HUB READS MADE IN GERMANY SCHWINN
WOOD PEDALS/PAINTED BLACK
I THINK IT HAS A RARE 3 SPEED NEW DEPARTURE HUB
THE BIKE HAS BLUE FENDERS/BLUE BIKE/BLUE OLD TROXEL SEAT
PLS ADVISE TO ME ANY INFORMATION TO MY EMAIL

gary, my tornado had the German hubs, but the frame was made in Chicago.

search the photos on this site. only hubs i know of made with schwinn and germany on them are the fichtel and sacs hubs on the imported tornadoes.

Germany what stores in USA was it sold in?
Also, what headbadge do it have and how pictured?
It seems there was a "tank", again if you could post

You mentioned Germany, but there is a Blue Troxel seat and
it does have a 3 speed new departure, thought that was rare? I dated the bike to around late 1940~s since wood
pedals and older troxel seat type?
It does say Schwinn on both hubs???
