Posted by: Chris TITLE: AGE / VALUE: 1954 Schwinn Flying Star
I have an old Schwinn that I cannot find any information on except for possibly the year, 1954. It has drum brakes f & r, springer fork, generator with working front and rear lights, electric bell, horn, mirror, old style bell(not sure which are stock). original leather springer seat, steel rack, 3 speed bendix deraileur, odometer, f & r steel fenders, chain guard with Schwinn "Flying Star" logo, gold Schwinn headbadge, AS stamped bolts, mud flaps with glass reflectors, spoke clinkers around the hubs, Lighting Dart 26x2.125", integrated pump next to the seat tube and hand painted pinstriping. The bike is in immaculate shape and was wondering if anybody knows any history about it and what it is worth roughly

Hi, It~s a nice looking bike, made with a lot of cool parts and accssories. I don~t think it~s any particular model or year,it looks more like a "Frankenbike" as they are called, having parts from different bikes/years. Cool though. Pat
