Evans were built in Plymouth Michigan from recycled aircraft carriers. Seriously the heaviest bikes i have ever seen bar none. I once had an evans road bike, drop bars 10 speed... i swaer it weight 80 pounds at least. Some are quite pretty. I dont know if its an assembled from vendor bike entirely, or what the shop built level was on them, but nobody bar none has a frame that heavy, so i am thinking they made thier own frames and sourced the rest. I have had lots of them being in michigan, i have a couple now. Getting more rare by the day, i still dont see any escalation in value forthcoming.

I just recently bought a "Evans 400 Viscount" bike and all I did was apply some elbow grease and a little SOS soap pad and the bike looking very nice, atleast until I caught a flat tire from riding it all over town. lololololl

Hi I just bought a Lady evans 400 viscount that is is in pretty rusty condition but everything is intact. The seat is in poor shape but the light is not broken. Did you ever find any information on this bike. I am looking to restore it unless some one makes a good offer on it.
