Posted by: Mark Watson TITLE: AGE / VALUE: "Roamer" by D.P.H. Mfg. Co.
I have a bike called "Roamer" by D.P.H. Mfg. Co. as stated on the bikes badge. It is mostly intact except for the front rim and fender mounted headlight which has been replaced with new aftermarket replicas. I place the age of this bike at around 1927 based on the sprocket pattern and the shape of the frame mounted tank that opens from the side. The bike has the original rear wheel kick stand, chain guard, glass reflector on rear fender, seat, fenders and handle bars. The paint is not original but I do believe it used to be red with white pin strips on fenders. The badge is in good shape. In my research of this bike I did not find much info. I have pictures but I do not have a web site. Can anyone offer some background on my find?

the Wheelmen www.thewheelmen.org say D. P Harris Hardware and Manufacturing Co., New York. No dates given, but the company presumeably predates 1918 per their site.
