I recently picked up this bike Western Flyer with Grand Trophy on the chain guard. The frame and fenders are red with white pin stripes on the fenders.Tires are 26x2.125.On the frame at the neck are the numbers HC2394245.It has very little rust on the handle bars and tiny bit on frame. Can someone tell me best way to remove this? Also any info on this bike greatly appreciated.Year?Value perhaps?

I read on the web it~s just not wise to give out the serial numbers of your bicycle.Only use what u need to know month & year such as a first or second letter depending on make of bicycle, some might do that differently.gl

Lightly rub rusty chrome parts with brass or bronze wool not steel wool, steel wool puts fine scratches on chrome. Brass wool is available from marine supply or Bennys Hardware stores in Southern New England
