Posted by: Tom TITLE: MISC: CHIMO....ever heard of it?
Back in the 80~s I was going to get into biking but didn~t have the $$ it took to buy right. Had an avid cycler recommend a CHIMO Cobra...Raya 27 X 1 1/2 rims....Sun Tour derailers....pedals say Roto Italy...High Tension 1020 Double Butte Frame (24" seatpost)...Elina Super Pro seat...Sakae chainwheel. Appears to be a "mutt". Worth replacing the rubber and riding? Or start over and do it right this time?

I have a Chimo Cobra from the early eighties. When I was into road biking it was a grat bike. It has a long frame so since I am 6~2" it was very stable. Is there a market to sell bike? It has been hanging in my gargae for many years now and I just don~t ahve the time to use it.

I~ve got a chimo I just love. I stripped everything off the frame and put on new components, it~s the best bike I~ve ever had. I~m still searching around for the history, but it seems like a Canadian company was selling them.

Sounds like a vintage lightweight. Ask under that topic.
