Hey all,
Rif here; long time no *whatever*...
Well I~m hittin~ the road again next summer on my modified *hot rod* Whizzer NE5/~48 Schwinn DX.
Goin~ from Tacoma, WA to Portland,IN for the big VMBE meet...
Anyone who has anything contrary or negative to say about this can keep it to themselves.
After that ride in 2003 to New York, I~ve been itchin~ and getting it all together to do it again. NO time schedule, NO pre-planned route, NO B.S.!
This time it~s just me and my moto-bike, loaded with my gear, doin 50 *or so* M.P.H. ~cross the land...
I thought some of ya~ might find this mildly interesting.

Cool. Thanks, I~ll check it out.
The frame work is almost finished; just a few more welds to do, and then smoothing the said welds. After that it~s a matter of a couple of bits, welds, and smoothing on the stretched (5" added to the length) pre-war cyclelock springer. From there it~s off for powdercoat, along with the fenders, rear rack, etc. and on to rebuilding the Worksman wheels with a drilled out (for the larger spokes) Bendix RedBand 2-speed kickback hub. She~s coming along nicely and rather quickly.

There is someone who posts on my forum who rode his motorized bike from alabama to denver and back. Very interesting fellow who has been places on his bike. The name he uses on my forum is "bamabikeguy".

Hi,
Yeah, that~s a dead link.
Here~s one I~ve been working on.
It~s not finished; it~s just written from my journal entries and memory, roughly sewn together...

Hey Rif, I~d like to hear more about the 2003 run. The link above on this page doesn~t work.
Do you have a site that talks about the trip? You should tell the guys at oldroads to fix that link.
