...So I~m out driving to my shop to grab some parts for a couple of project bikes yesterday. I~m going through a town about the size of Mayberry when I see Schwinn Blue at a yard sale. Quickly I turn around and it turns out to be a 24" Town and Country!
I ask how much, and trying not too seem too excited, I hand over the cash. I get out to the shop and grab the Bike-Bug motor that~s been sitting on the shelf for awhile, then boogie back home (a 40 minute drive one way, but hey it~s over a thousand square feet at no charge for doing my crazy bike projects out of the rain...)
Anyway, the bike bug on a trike is too much!!! What a kick in the pants! I think I just found an economical grocery getter...!
One bit of advice for anyone else who might try this, WATCH THE CORNERING!!! You really have to lean (like a sidehacker or something) to keep from tipping over at a slight speed.
Part of the problem in that area is that the wheels are set up for 1 3/4" tires. I have a pair of S-2~s for the rear and an S-7 for the front. now if I can just get that 28 hole drum brake working for the front wheel, hmmm... :-}
Happy motoring,
Rif

What an excellent find and an excellent project.
I agree, turning on a tri-wheeler takes some practice.

Oh yeah, I forgot it~s got a three speed coaster brake set up at the back. I~m not too nuts about this set up on a trike, but we~ll see how it works out...
all in all I~m pretty excited about this one. I~ve got to take it up to my local bike guru and see what he~s got to say about it...
