I recently bought a bike bug motor from e-bay. 81.00.But I know very little about them.I am looking for any info on parts or just general info on them, such as oil & gas ratio mixture and so forth. I am planning to use it to ride 2 miles to work.Is this practical with this motor.I have seen other motor kits around 200.00 to 500.00.on E-Bay.Would it be worthwhile to repair and restore the bike bug if it broke. If nessesary? It hasn~t been run in about a year, or so the seller said. Also I found out from Austin Tx. The law was revised in Tx. Sep 1, 2002.If it is below a 39cc engine no ins, inspection or registration is needed.Only general bicycle rules apply..Headlight,Tail light, helmet..etc.Hope this info helps someone..Any info will be greatly appreciated.Drop me a line..In East Tx. (75633)Thanx you all have a good day.

You~re in luck, Kilroy, not only do you have a nice little bike motor, but the world~s leading authority on them, Mike Schneider, is also in Texas. He can answer any of your questions. Our article on him, and Bike Bugs in general, may be found at: http://bikerodnkustom3.homestead.com/tanaka.html
